I love making massive to-do lists. I’m addicted to that little green tick next to each task—I live for it.

But hey, sometimes it just doesn’t happen.

That’s when I roll up my sleeves and tell myself, “Great, now I’ve identified the one area to focus on tomorrow. What a gift—knowing exactly where to direct my energy in the morning!” (Shoutout to Shaan Puri for that gem.)This simple shift helps me sleep better—and more importantly—wake up with a clear mind, ready to crush that task.

Every few months, I make it a point to update my website and portfolio—even when I’m not job hunting. I think it's such a critical practice, for yourself more than anyone else. As ambitious doers, we tend to get caught up in the hustle, ticking off task after task without stopping to look back.

What did I excel at? Where did I fall short?

This time, while updating my portfolio, I felt something different—gratitude. Usually, I wrap up the process hyper-focused on everything I could’ve done better. But not this time.

Not because I’ve magically become perfect, but because I made a conscious decision to be deeply grateful for my work. My work is my meditation. My mirror. And this moment? Just pure appreciation.

So here’s a little glimpse into that gratitude...The Power of Pause
