I love making huge to-do lists, I am addicted to getting the small green tick next to each task. I LIVE for that! And sometimes, it does not happen. That is when I roll up my sleeves, and tell myself, “Great, now I have identified the area to focus on tomorrow. What a gift - knowing where to direct my energy early tomorrow am!” (Thank you Shaan Puri) And this really helps me sleep and more importantly wake up a fresh mind to tick that task off! Every few months, I have gotten into the practice of updating my website and my portfolio, even when I am not looking for a job. I think it is so important to do that, for yourself more than anything else. We are ambitious “doers” and we sometimes get so lost in finishing task after task. It’s so easy to forget to stop, take a break and introspect. “What did I excel in, where did I suck?” And this time while updating my portfolio, I am just taken away by the feeling of gratitude. It is a new feeling. Usually, at the end of editing my work, I can only see all my shortcomings, but not this time around. Not because there are no shortcomings, but because I have pre-decided to be so grateful for my work. My work is my meditation. I am so grateful for everything I get to do. Here is a glimpse...
